Jann Ferdowsi

Mental Health Counselor-LP

When people experience life stressors and traumatic experiences, it is understandable for their lives to turn upside down. My passion is to bring validation and healing to those who have encountered such impactful experiences. I aim to do so by building a strong therapeutic alliance and providing therapy within a safe environment that utilizes empathy, understanding, and non-judgment.

My therapeutic approach derives from Psycho-dynamic Therapy, combined with other modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and multicultural competency, in order to lead to healing and growth. Any challenges you may be facing, we will work through your struggles and experiences together. I help my clients, who include children, adolescents, and adults, to find healthy perceptions of themselves so they can learn to live their best lives. You are not alone.

I earned a Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness program at New York University. I have prior experience working with individuals who have suffered from anxiety, depression, and suicidal behavior. In addition to English, I am also fluent in Bangla. I look forward to working with clients from all backgrounds and identities and am excited to go on this therapeutic journey with you.
