Ra Ra Rollins
Mental Health Counselor-LP
Hello, I’m Ra Ra, and I use the pronouns he/him/his. I am an artist and mental health practitioner. I identify as Black, gay, queer, visually disabled, and cis male.
I’m motivated to be a mental health resource to the LGBTQIA+ & POC community, specifically queer and gay men of color. I look to be the resource I could never find when I wanted to speak with a mental health professional. I am a social justice advocate and utilize a person-centered, collaborative narrative approach when working with my clients—I’m happy to answer any questions you have about what this means. I understand how vital representation and experiential validation are to thrive in a world that can often feel isolating, confusing, and oppressive to us who hold multiple minority identities.
I specialize in normalizing conversations surrounding sex and sexuality, including sexual shame, consensual non-monogamy and polyamory, religious trauma in the LGBTQIA+ community, issues of masculinity, goal setting and management, boundary formulation and adherence, and emotional literacy and regulation. I welcome counter-cultural dialogues and celebrate the vulnerability of being our true selves at all times.
In the session, I offer to be present, non-judgmental, curious, and affirming to create a brave space to explore vulnerable topics, concerns, and goals you have.
What do you need, and how can you and I work together to get you to a place you deem successful?
