Guesthia Jacques is a licensed Social Worker, with 10 years of experience providing services to women, children, and youth. She is a proud Haitian-American, born and raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and quality time with her family.
Guesthia's clinical areas of expertise include Historical/Generational trauma and PTSD, Anxiety, Stress Management, and HIV/AIDS. She believes in applying a historical, cultural, and trauma-informed lens to help her client identify the patterns in their lives so they can make the necessary changes. Guesthia's rich ethnic and racial background provides her with lived experiences that help her bring her humanity into her sessions. Guesthia uses Psycho-dynamic, Cultural Sensitivity, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients better understand themselves, manage their symptoms, and find happiness and peace.
